Second generation Gfast fiber extension
Incumbent and challenger service providers around the globe are deploying fiber networks to ready networks for future high-bandwidth applications. However, the plan to connect every home, business, and 5G small cell with fiber has been slow to scale in many regions due to the time and cost associated with deploying fiber optic cables. Fiber service extension technologies like second-generation Gfast enable service providers to connect more subscribers to their fiber optical distribution networks at a low total cost of ownership. This enables up to 10 times more utilization of a network’s existing multi-million-dollar fiber investment.
