A typical use case involves passive DWDM-based links spanning up to 15km, with pluggable optics connecting directly to radio units. SFP56 transceivers are the preferred choice, offering twice the data rate of SFP28 transceivers while maintaining the same size and power consumption. Our AccessWave50™ tunable SFP56 pluggable transceiver has been designed to meet these requirements. Host-agnostic and I-temp hardened, it can be plugged straight into any device with standard SFP56 ports, including 5G radio units. This ensures a smooth and cost-efficient upgrade to 50Gbit/s, enabling mobile operators to scale their fronthaul networks with ease.
